My gt. gt. grandfather was James PETER born 04 Aug 1797 at Fala, Midlothian. He married an Elizabeth MILLER on 15.5.1818 in Fala. Their son (my gt. grandfather) was born 1831 in Edinburgh and was named John Miller PETER. The PETER family arrived in Victoria, Australia in the 1840's. I have been trying to find PETER family that were connected to mine. It is a bit hard as they left Scotland so early. Regards Sally Flynn St. Arnaud, Victoria
